Aschenbrenner Public AI Infrastructure Basket

A source-gated Santro basket tracking publicly disclosed and reputable-media-reported AI infrastructure and power/energy positions linked to Leopold Aschenbrenner and Situational Awareness LP. His public thesis: the AI bottleneck isn't models — it's electricity and compute, so the basket spans power producers as well as data-center and cloud names.

This is not a complete or current portfolio. It is a public market tracker built from filings, reputable reporting, and Santro verification — we list what was disclosed and when, not estimated position sizes.

Hot means attention, not direction.

Hypothesis watchlist — the energy thesis

Aschenbrenner argues publicly (his Situational Awareness essay; the Dwarkesh interview) that electricity is the real AI bottleneck — a 100GW cluster could need ~20% of US power. These are thesis areas, not confirmed individual positions, and are kept separate from the holdings above.

What the thesis points at — "what models and chips cannot run without": electricity generation, grid interconnects and long-term capacity contracts, cooling, fibre, and land. He has publicly flagged natural gas and nuclear as the most build-able paths to AI-scale power.

Source methodology

Santro prioritizes official filings first (13F / 13G on SEC EDGAR), then reputable financial media (e.g. Fortune, The Motley Fool), then manually reviewed source notes. Unsourced social-media lists and retail "portfolio tracker" pages are not treated as holdings. We record what was disclosed and when — not estimated weights or live positions, which filings and reports don't reliably show. If a source is unclear, the name is marked as needs verification or excluded. Accuracy beats fullness.
