Santro AI (“we”, “us”) runs santroai.tech, an informational AI-markets terminal — bubble maps of AI stocks, ETFs and crypto, hot tickers with sourced reasons, a bubble-risk index, research notes and a fair-value calculator. This page explains, in plain English, what data we collect, why, and what control you have. We deliberately collect as little as possible.

What we collect

Nothing required to browse. Reading the terminal, bubble maps, news, research and blog needs no account and sets no advertising cookies.
An account, only if you create one. The fair-value calculator can be used a few times for free; to save valuations or a watchlist you may register with an email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash (argon2) — we never see or store your plain password.
An anonymous in-browser ID. To count free calculator runs we store a random identifier in your browser’s localStorage. It is not linked to your identity, contains no personal data, and clearing your browser storage resets it.
Basic server logs. Our backend records standard request metadata (IP address, timestamp, user agent) for security, rate-limiting and abuse prevention. These are not used to build advertising profiles.

How we use it

To provide and secure the calculator and account features.
To meter free usage fairly and prevent abuse.
To send essential, account-related email (for example email verification or password reset, if enabled).
To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data, run third-party advertising trackers, or share your information for marketing.

Who processes data for us

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and the accounts/calculator backend runs on Render; both may process technical data (such as IP) as part of serving requests. Market data is pulled by us from public sources (Yahoo Finance, CoinMarketCap and similar) — those providers do not receive your personal data through us.

Cookies and storage

We use only what the product needs: an essential session cookie when you are signed in, and the anonymous localStorage ID described above. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

If you hold an account you can export or permanently delete your account data, and withdraw consent at any time. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA) you may also have rights to access, correct or restrict processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@santroai.tech.

Retention & security

Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request. Passwords are hashed; sessions use httpOnly cookies. No method is perfectly secure, but we keep the data surface small on purpose.

Children

Santro AI is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves; material changes will update the date above.
